I class we made our fair project our one is fishing tackle. We made a thing so you can use whole bait while fish and it can change the size of your bait.

Hit and Kick

During maths we made shapes in class. Level 1 is you keep it hitting it before it hits the ground, Level 2 is the same but with kicking, Level 3  is you hit it then kick it till it hits the ground.

We did this poem to learn about describing words.

Marie

On Wednesday our school went on a Marie trip. We were told stories and we were taught a game. After a little while we had morning tea and we got Milo biscuit and scones. Then we played outside. The Year 5 and 6 did a haka.

How to make an Eel line.

Materials:

Hand caster, line, 4oz sinker, a hook of you choice (works best with small hook), Braid(optional), 2 swivels and 1 clip-on swivel.

Goal:Set up and eel line and catch an eel

In this Procedural writing you will learn how to set up an eel line to catch eels or other fish

Rap your line around the hand caster.

Then tie on a swivel to the line on the hand caster.

Get 35cm of braid or line and cut into 15cm and 20cm.

Tie the 20cm braid or line on the clip on swivel.

Hold the line and slide the the sinker down it.

Tie the lasts swivel on the 15cm and 20cm braid or line.

The tie your hook on the 20cm braid or line.

Clip the clip on swivel to the swivel on the hand caster.

Head to your local creek with your bait and try catching an eel.

Cast the hand line in to water that has no current.

If you catch one release it, use it for bait or eat it.

Fair Product

In class we have grouped up to design a product to sell at our school fair. Aiden, Harrison and I have come together to design a Bottle fish trap.  We are going to make them out of old bottles.  We hope they will catch bait or small fish. They will come with a line attached so the bottle can be pulled in.

Fish'n'chip Pie

First your need to blend you fish in tiny pieces with you Potatoes. Make sure to put you lemon juice and salt in. Blend you soft

Once done put you mixture in the pie shaper.

Place your pie in the freezer.

The next day place in oven for 15-25 minutes at 80 degrees Celsius.

Next your take out your food and let it cool down.

Next you enjoy your meal.

INGREDIENTS:
Fish(of your choice)
Potatoes 

1 teaspoon of salt
Slice of lemon
Pie shaper

Pūmanawa

For Pūmanawa I got the cartooning and drawing class. In this I am learning how to draw animated and realistic. This was my first choice for Pūmanama and I drew two picture so far on was a Moray Eel and The other was a combination f a centipede and a Moray Eel I called it a Moray Centaeel.

Baking Sale

Today at schol we had a baking sale. I had 2 dallors to spend. I brought about 3 or 4 things. They had some really good food.

My First Pixel Fish

This Pixel Fish I did with Harrison and Aiden. It took about 30 minutes. This was the image that inspired us to do it.

Science Project

On Friday and Monday we did a water filter project. There were four options bark, sand, cotton balls and paper towls, we use sand, cotton balls and paper towls. My partner is Aiden Pool

My Pet Egg

Last week we looked after eggs. The point of this was to see how hard it is to look after something alive. Mine lived for the whole and at the end I dropped it from a high place to its death.

Country Study

In Room 5 we did a country study. We study some special people from the country and had to suggest three main places to visit. It was very fun to do, I enjoyed finding place in Cuba and finding new facts. I chose Cuba because I like the country and I want to go there. 

Chess

Today I did a Chess competition. I won 3/6 games. I was in the A team and was the captain. 

Room 5 Assembly

Last week it was our assembly. I was a marcher in the parade. Aiden played the trumpet  in the background. 

New Playground

At school a new playground is being built. It has monkey bars and some weird climbing thing, and exercise-equipment.😎  

Poem

For writing, our class entered the Get NZ Writing project. We were given 12 items and had to choose one to write a poem about. The poem had to have an anagram and lots of descriptive words. I did a poem about a ship in a bottle

Shrove Tuesday

Today is Shove Tuesday and we are making pancakes! We will make decorations for the pancakes. 
Then tomorrow is ash Wednesday then we will have a ash cross on our forehead. Today we watch the burning of the palms.

Escape From Kraznir

In the year 100,000,000,000,021 BC, there where a group of warriors that were on a mission. The names of the warriors were Sharksie the watermelon shark: their leader, Author the Dwarf, LittleJane the hobbit, Touchfire the wizard and Sarason the warrior.

Chapter 1

They just got the documents and files they needed to get food from the food storage, Than they when into this dark and misstey room. At the entry door there was a guard, Sharksie shoot a watermelon he hit the guard right in the back of the head.
“Good shot Sharksie” said Touchfire.
Sharksie shootout another watermelon in the air. BOOM!

Their they went into the food store but there was another garud this on was big and it was staring right at them… Sarason first reaction was to run, so she at him. He hits her away she gets up and run again this time he pick her up and through her at the wall crash. Author pick him up and threw him with the guard dogs they when mad with biting him.

They quickly ran and got all the food they needed, but they were to load 20 soldiers and 10 guard dog were standing in front of the tunnel. Then Sharksie had a idea, he shoot a huge tsunami and wiped them all away! They ran for they tunnel and escaped for Slinsil.

What they don't know was that there were hidden guards in the tunnel and they were all capture! In the sell the bars had a britty big gap, sines Littlejane was so small she slided out of the sell. She picked the rest of the locks. They had no more dogs so the manage to get out. They escape the realized it was night so they spend the night on a cliff edge.

Prodigy

In room five we play a math game called prodigy, I am level 47 and I have completed one guest the shipwreck shore quest. If you level up you get new moves to defendant monster... but to do them you have to first get a math question write.

Orange week

Today is Friday of orange week! We are dressing up in orange and bring a gold coin donation.

Mantra

Puberty

This week the year sixes did their Puberty talk. The boys learned about how they will grow more body hair and also all over the face. We are also going to get pimples and oily hair. We also learnt about our hygiene. I enjoyed the talk because it was very informational.

Swimming Sports

On Wednesday we when to swimming sports. I came 2nd twice and 3rd once and 4th twice. The races were 50 and 25 meters free style, 25 meters backstroke, 25 meters breaststroke and relays i did all of them.

Year 6 Camp

At camp we did a bunch of activities like Abseiling, Giant Ladder, Climbing, Sailing, Giant paddle board, kayaking/kayak surfing, Crate staking, mountain biking, dinghy games, orienteering and raft building. My favourite activity is sailing. Well every activity is good.
